About

Welcome to Crooked Kitchen, a blog about eating, cooking, and saving money.

My name is Matt. I’ve been living as an income-limited student for the last 6 years, having to carefully manage my money while still living well. That includes eating well. I want to show you how to do the same. On this blog I’ll write about cooking and saving money.

When I cook something for dinner, I’ll reverse-engineer a recipe and post it here, in the hopes that you can take from it ideas for your own frugal cooking. I’ll show you my favorite ingredients and cooking techniques, and teach you how to use them at home.

  2. I am sure you know this but eating on a budget doesn’t mean eating bad. Farmer’s markets, local suppliers etc. Last night we had some amazing seafood because we watch our local supplier’s specials on twitter. My friend got some Brandt beef sent to her so she would blog about it….. I really enjoyed your blog! Good job!
